Rest My Troubled Head |
Abused Love
God how I love him,
Even though it hurts.
His promises are sweet.
He kisses and flirts.
Until the pain is gone.
Then he gets drunk,
And the pain is back.
He yells and shouts,
And worst he hits.
Then when he sees the bruises in the morning,
He cries.
His promises are poison to my ears,
But oh how addictive they are.
I'm killing myself slowly,
But I can't stop.
I tink of him all day,
And fear him all night.
It wasn't always like this.
Once he was sweet,
But that was before the alcohol,
Before he changed.
Before I cried more that I laughed,
And before he became,
My most loved abuser.
