Rainy Night

The pitter patter in the street,

Feel the water wet my feet,

The rains soaked my clothes and hair,

But I find myself without a care.

Gave you my jacket to keep you dry,

As we looked up at the gray sky,

Held you close as i walked you home,

Didn't care that I was wet to the bone.

On your doorstep we sat together,

Protected each other from the weather,

For how long we sat there, I don't know,

But eventually it came time for me to go.

Kissed you good night in the pouring rain,

Held you like we would never meet again,

Then all I heard was the thunder rumble,

And from my bed I did tumble.
