A Funeral
A procession of flowers and black, Saying goodbye to someone, Who will never come back. All for the coffin of wood, Placed beneath the alter, Where the priest stood. Didn't really listen to what was said, As I looked at the family, Who said farewell to their dead. They have lost part of their lives, But as long as the memories live, No one ever dies. Then why do we mourn the dead, When all their pain is gone, We should be happy instead. No matter how much I miss them, No Matter how much I want them back, All I can say is Amen. Not to be cruel or unkind, It's not the dead I cry for, But the one's left behind.
