Another night has just flown by...

I take a glance at the clock,

Anther night has just flown by,

What's kept me up? I wonder why.

For a while I've been problem free,

Yet why won't life just let me be?

For once no one tugs at my heart strings,

But still my phone constantly rings.

"What's he or she done now?" is my hello,

Because that's the reason. I always know,

One bickers and the other lies,

And yet it's me who always tries.

To make sense of the problem pollution,

And in the end sort out a solution,

Is it because I'm cursed to care,

Or are their crosses also mine to bare?

Yet I still try to set it all right,

Their happiness is always in my sight,

And even when my advice is not the one wanted,

Why is it by my own guilt I am haunted?

Don't I always do the right thing?

Isn't that why my phone continues to ring?

Maybe it's just not what they wanted to hear,

But doing them wrong is what I fear.

I always tell them what I think is best,

But they will always have to do the rest,

When they don't listen and I end up right,

The thought of it still keeps me up all night.

I probably sound like an utter busy-body,

 I never intended to hurt anybody,

But not caring is wha I hate,

But thanks to it, in humanity, I'm losing faith.
