In A Bind

Hands pull me toward them in the blackest of nights

The ones when birds even refuse to take flight

 

Cold wind blows against my worn, pale neck

By the shake of my hands I notice I’m a wreck

 

Racing thoughts scurry through my mind

I’m starting to think, I know I'm in a bind

 

Soft glow from the full moon shines down

In the distance, I begin to hear the hounds

 

Coming toward me they are, I’m sure

I’ve never felt this way before

 

I’m now being suffocated in the darkness of this night

To keep alive, I’ll need to fight

 

Taking another uneasy step further

How could I possibly get away with murder?
