Escape
I never asked you for permission,
To steal your heart away,
Now I'm facing the consequences,
But it's worth the price I pay.
I'm sorry you feel you need to hide,
You want to run away for the nearest
cover,
But I just can't let you go,
Not as your friend, not as your lover.
I will gladly fight for you,
Until the darkness no longer owns
your soul,
Somehow I will win you back,
And you will regain control.
But until then, all I can do,
Is stand right here by your side,
Be your rock, your neverending
foundation,
Until you no longer feel the need to
hide.
