The Only One

I sit here and think of all that I've been through, all that I've seen. All of the pains, the sorrows, and the sufferings.

No one cares about what I've been through, or what I've seen. No one that is but me.

The hours come and go while I sit and think of what could have been, or how things should be.

My heart is troubled by what I've done, by what I've seen. But no one cares but me.

When it feels lik the darkness has won, that the light has gone, I realize that I'm not the only one who cares what I've seen.

There are others sharing this pain, others that try to hide their shame. Though, beyond what others think or say, there is One above that loves us just the same.

For once it seems someone cares about what I've been through, and what I've seen. Someone that is besides me.

I am no longer upset by what could have been, or what I've seen.

My God and Savior in Heaven above loves me for me, and glory to Him for this I give unto thee.

And, if I again feel so down hearted and lonely, I will remember that there is Someone above on a throne of gold, to whom all of my heart and my love I have sold. Someone who will never let me down, and will one day reward me with a bright and glowing crown.
