Maybe I should get over it; The gossip, the lies. After all, it all decays, It all dies. You say you love me. No. You love to control me. You love to own me. After all, Am I just a resource? Not that you listen, Not that you hear. Or maybe you’re like this because of him? The one you love so much? That one you, superficially, hold dear? Now I’m saying it. Are you too ignorant to hear me? Now I’m screaming it! Is selfishness blocking it out? Things just seem to quiet, A heart-healing silence, Between the two of us. Are you listening now?
