Eating Disorder

“Don’t eat.”
“Don’t eat.”
That’s what they said to me.
“Just starve,
You’re fat.”
Chanting in my head.
“Don’t eat.”
“You’re fat.”
“Don’t eat.”
“Don’t do that.”
“Hunger is good.”
“Dying as you should.”
“You’re almost perfect!”
“You’re doing so good!”
“You’re only dying of
Anorexia nervosa.”
“You only have amenorrhea.”
“Your bones are only weak,
Your muscles are only unhealthily meek.”
I started throwing up
What was left in my stomach
If my sister made me eat.
And my mind was chanting…
“That’s good!”
“That’s better!”
My body screamed,
“She’s going to die.”
My mind screamed,
“Just let her!”
Now I have bulimia nervosa,
And a case of
Heart arrhythmia.
My teeth have eroded,
I’m going to die.
I have tears in my throat
Because my eyes can’t cry.

i do not have an eating disorder but i decided to write a poem about the dangers of them.)
