The wandering truth of insecurity lies
Within the pressures of everyday life
Breeding from the things of this world
Entering the ears when I was just a little girl
Wanting to be something that I never could
Being told I was a mistake and trying to prove it wrong
The years opened my eyes to who I really am
As I was shown my own imperfectionAnd now I wonder if I would be so low and insecure
If I had not been told all that I now know
