Humanity at it’s best
The first bite is the sweetest
But then the bitter settles in
Nothing but more of the sweet
Can push aside the lasting bitterness
The sweet lasts only seconds
The bitter forever after
The sweet is like chocolate
The bitter is like blood
The chocolate is all the good things
That don’t ever last
The blood is the empty taste that comes
