Death Did Us Part

We would've vowed "Until Death Do Us Part"

But is death of only body, mind, soul, or heart?

When you proposed, I had my doubts.

But I just knew we'd 'work things out'.

And you drug in that trash- I still don't know why.

Trying to figure it out caused the death of my mind.

Searching for answers I hid all of my pain.

Burning rage, shattered hopes, I went insane.

You told her lies about me-the death of my heart.

I couldn't forgive you so now we're apart.

Alone all over again- I am no longer whole.

Therein lies the death of my soul.

Still breathing, but dead in every other way.

Death did us part- the price I'm forced to pay.
