What Is Love?

When you look him in the eyes...
What do you see?
A lying figure, misteries?
Or do you see the time you've spent spread out through history?

When he smiles at you...
Does it feel real, is it sincere?
Or is it not what it truly appears?
Is it just something to keep you occupied,
While inside builds hatred, despise?

When he holds your hand...
Does he like it too?
Is it just you?
Why does it feel as though his words don't shine true?

Love isn't any of these things, it's something more...
Something earned, something you live for.
Love is made of trust, hope and acceptance...
It's an absolute feeling that may take your whole life to gain...
But once it's there, it never fades...
It's always in your heart, and there's always enough to go around.
This is what love is.
