Friends Forever

You've always been there for me,
Hiding out secretely, to tell me what I want to hear.
You've held me close throughout these years,
Comforted me, dried all my tears.

You turned all these scary situations around,
You made me smile and feel like I could accomplish anything.
Which is truly the greatest feeling you could ever experience,
I never had anything to fear, as long as you were near.

You laughed at all my jokes even when they stopped being funny,
You didn't care about my clothes, shoes, or even my money.
You looked at me for who I really was,
You didn't expect me to be anything I wasn't,
Which is something not many people do nowadays.

When I felt like I could no longer go on,
You showed me a light at the end of the tunnel.
A burning energy to fuel my dying fire,
Which encouraged me to continue, with new, embued strength.

I guess all that I'm trying to say is we are friends forever,
That's how its always been, how it was meant to be...
But most importantly how it's going to stay.
