He asked you to dance
He smiled his sweet smile
As he reached for your hand
You took his hand longingly
And he looked at you wonderingly
You giggled and smoothed your dress
As he tucked in his vest
You didn't know where to go
All of a sudden you felt lost
The world seemed to speed up
Finally where you belong
He doesn't even know your name
But you don't seem to care
All of a sudden you smile
As his fingers touch your hair
You didn't believe in love
You didn't believe it could happen
But now it has and it's finally
