we look at eachother i see you there

you're pink and your roses the sheen of your hair

you stare right back at me your hazel eyes so fair

i look back at you i dont think you'd dare

you see my curls the dark and the light

you see my brown eyes yes they still shine in the light

you thought you beat me hey i did too

but there is something you didnt know im not to be made a fool

you look at me in disgust my black and my thorns

but i have a beauty its beyond lust im nothing easy at all

they see me and smile your the easy catch

darling im worthwhile this isn't about who is the better match

we look at eachother for a moment i smile

you bow your head down you respect me now

your words cannot hurt me your rumors a waste

i laugh at your attempts to make me feel shame
