Unable to let the real you be shown,

It’s hard when no one really knows,

No shoulder to rest your head on,

Or even a friend to lend a helping hand,

You see these little things we take for granted are the very things some people only wanted,

A smile to brighten their day,

A call from a loved one just to say hey,

A simple letter or text would make their day so much better,

Instead we frown and get oh so bitter, hiding from pain, disappointments, and confusion.
