Without Her Love

Views (148) Pain Created on 5-1-08 Flag

Shadows dance across her mind, making images that remind her of that night.

So frightening it is to recall, a tragedy spilled upon the floor.

Lost between lust and love, doors close one by one.

Do you hear her cry out for the one she lost?

A tragic fate he couln't overcome.

How much sorrow fills little hearts.

She hides her pain beneath wristbands, going deeper with each passing day.

Tearing through her flesh this void in her chest, where her heart use to beat.

Now she carry's it in a plastic bag, carefull not to stain the carpet red.

What a mess she has become.

She wonders if she's at fault.

Did she bring this upon herself?

Should she not have let her guard down?

Is it really better to have loved and lost then to have never loved at all?

Theses question with no awswers haunt her waking hours.

So she'll wait for the day she can see this world fade away, and feel the touch of

her love, the love she never really lost.

brittnee86 The feeling in the poem is powerful. It's strong, and does not rely on a rhyming scheme... just rhythme and great word choice. :) check out some of my poetry, I'd really appreciate some feedback from a great writer. :)
