Rejoices |
Childhood
A time when we rarely cried
Except from a scrape on the knee
When story time was fun
And anything was possible as long as we believed.
A time when race didn't matter
Looks had no say
Everyone accepted each other
And looked forward to each day.
A time when every booboo could go away
All you needed was mommys kiss
Hearts were never broken
You could be anything you wished.
A time when being high
Was the point you reached on a swing
Food brought to school partys weren't inspected
Incase of bad things.
A time when you didn't have to be great
Perfection wasn't a need
Friendship was true
Childhood, a thing we shouldn't have leaved.

I always say, It's never too late to have a happy childhood. Very nice poem. Thanks for the invite. |
