This Christmas |
Those Eyes
You come near me
I can't help but tense
I'm afraid of what you see
I can't create a pretense.
Because you saw my shame
I cannot pretend that you didn't
Though I'm glad it's not the same
I still see the glint,
in your eyes.
You know
no room for lies
the weakest of me shows.
And I wish that it could be different
that we could know eachother
in a better way, so I could repent,
and maybe, I could feel love, rather
than this, this awful, twisting
knotting stomach reaction.
But, what use is there resisting?
This is how we know eachother, this is our only attraction.
