Child of God

You do not know the color of my hair,

You do not know how my health will fair.

I have never seen the light of day,

I haven’t smelled the flowers of May.

But, I got to talk with God today,

He said he would show me the way.

For as a child of God I’m here to stay,

It’s not meant to be any other way.

For if you abort, yes I’ll die,

But God in heaven is who will cry.

It hurts him deep and tears him up inside,

It won’t be me that has to run and hide.

So do what’s right and give me a chance,

Let me grow tall and make my stance.
