Disappointing Failure

Today is the day.

The day of Joy and Happiness and

All of the wonderful things!

But for some reason I can’t,

I can’t see the day.

It was supposed to be the best day of my life

It’s already fading away

Into the dark, bleak, empty world of my past

Where’s my happiness,

My joy, my peace?

I’ve been waiting for this day to come

Only to see that it has ended

Ended without me.

Yes, this is disappointing

I can’t even begin to describe

The sadness I am feeling inside

Maybe some other day,

Maybe next week

But not today,

Because today is not the day.
