My Mother

MY MOTHER

Brown eggs,bacon,and creamy gravy with biscuts grand and so fluffy on sunday morning, oh the aroma and so tasty.

The table was set we all had our places. I sat across from her,she always wore siky p.j's and robes with lace

The master bedroom was ayoung girls heart decorated with pink chiffon curtains, a grand bed with a quilt of flowers flowing. On the walls were colorful angelic art.

Her home was grand with stairs and more rooms than we could use, yet it was warm and smelled like candy,cake,cinnamin,apples and pears.

I watched as she would curl her hair sitting in her favorite chair holding a mirror in her hand her face was smooth and fair.

She had been ill since i could remember her hands were deformed and hurt and her body ached, yet she was strong even though she would never render.

With a young girls heart and an old wise soul, she knew the to all the questions i asked. I thought how could she know, yet i was comforted by the wise answers and stories she told.

I could'nt lie to her even if i tried about things i felt i had done wrong, her dark brown eyes were deep and strong and she could see me on the inside

She was always understanding, full of streghnth and light and she had arms as safe and warm as an angels wings.

Not long ago she died my mother and i went to her home so grand with decorations so pretty and pink.

I could'nt feel or smell her anymore and i cried.

I went and sat alone on a swing in front of her house and called to God, I cried and cried and prayed.

In my sorrow I felt the covet of his wing

I miss her and love her so much, but i know she is home waiting for me to come see her again, but now my children need me to be a mother of such.
