I Tried...

Anger, sadnes, guilt, all in my mind.

Yet they all mixed and intertwined.

All because of you, I gave you so many chances.

You thought so to, expierenced with romances.

You lower my self esteem, but I bare with it.

Saying it was my fault, that your wrist was slit.

Choking up now, guilt thrusts inside

I tried to not hurt you, I really tried.

You accuse me of something, something curious.

It was a lie, and I became furious.

I explode, and defend my actions

We yell, now involving pedestrian attractions.

I ask, "Why do you keep bringing up the past?"

You turn around and walk away, very fast.

Now onlookers give me a glarring look.

It's not my fault, I'm not a crook!

You had the last work, as usual, and unfair.

When will your believe the truth? When will you care?

Why haven't you realized, I'm right?

I'd never hurt you again, I'd be polite.

I want to be friendns, you don't even try.

But you just bring up the past, I ask, "Why?"

Your family, of course, is on your side.

I tried to reason with them, I really tried.

Months pass, and nothing has improved.

We fight more, and so I moved.

Miles away from you, I feel at peace.

Exept my thoughts of us, never ceased.

Going back, I won't be able to abide.
