Daddy Died

Each day, I miss my dad.

Mama and I, are so sad.

Why Dad, did you have to die?

The day you died, i didn't even cry.

I was two years old, expecting you back.

I was looking out the window, in the pitch black.

You were comming home, but this time late.

Comming home, you weren't driving straight.

Why dad, did you forget your seat-belt?

You'd be here, with no pain to be dealt.

Why dad, didn't you stop and rest?

You were tired, it would've been the best.

Dad, you fell asleep, that's not a thrill.

Why did you have to crash, on-top of that hill?

The window, you crashed though it.

Down you fell and the ground you hit.

Although you died, without any pain.

Sorrow was spilt, just like rain.

To this day, no happy memories are present.

To have no memory of you, its not pleasent.

Why dad, why are you not here?

It's like you were never, once so near.

I wish this, that I could remember your voice.

Dad, I question, did you leave with no choice?

Was it in God's plan, that you died that day.

So I wouldn't have a dad, so you could be away?

I've see many a child, playing with their dad.

But I've hadn't a childhood, like they have had.

Daddy, I feel this shouldn't be true.

That your son, will always miss you.
