I tried so hard

To see 

What it is you're telling me

So praise and follow

the road

you feel safe on

I give my attention

You use it against me and now

Third wheel once again

I lock down

Find in me the one you shove down, you beat down

The child inside that is hiding

The child inside me's a freak 

Make believe I'm stepping down

I'm giving up

I will not follow you

Let them say, "Who are you? 

The room is dark

And I 

Stumble across the floor

Get dressed then I,

Play a game or two,

And ride off

Misplaced so I

Stuff it down and I

Bottle it up inside

Let me hide from this
