A Well Known Ending

Cough after cough

Sigh after sigh

I seem okay

but ill i am quite

No one knows yet

But I can feel it

My body's giving way

And death has me in a pit

My friends and my family

they all haven't a clue

I should just go peacefully

For what else is there to do

It's okay for me to leave

I'm quite alright with dying

I've given life a good one

But this fight i must stop trying

I knew that this was comin

I've known it for some while

I've made my peace with it

I'm forever God's child

I know the lord

There's no one better to keep me safe

I have nothing to fear

I will be in God's place.
