Triumph over darkness |
Absurd
The wind whips at the trees
As I walk along the path
Searching for unobtainable keys
To lock away my bitter wrath
Watching time pass away
Slowley and in utter silence
See the world as it is today
Sadly resorting to hate and violence
"Where has all the kindness gone?
Where did a simple smile hide?"
Awaiting the long forgotten dawn
Standing by desperation's side
I travel alone on this trek
The unforgiving cold surrounds me
Passing each heartbroken wreck
With darkness hovering around thee
Tears spilt at the sight of rain
Which masks the weeping face
Suppressing all sorrow and pain
Shattering my steady pace
Blinking through my sodden eyes
Asking aloud, waiting to be heard
Wishes from the past, it all defies
"Why has the world gone completely absurd?"
