I Keep Tripping Over You

Of all the things i've overcame
Of all the mountains i've climbed
And wild fires i've tamed
Of all the suffering and pained i've endured combined
I stumble constantly over the same stone
It feels as if in circles my life leads
Rock hard enough to feel through skin to bone
Edges sharp enough to cause me to bleed
How is it possible to continuously fumble over this pebble?
So blind i must be to not notice before i reach this obstruction
How can it knock me down, over and over into rubble?
So naive i must be to have yet found its destruction
Of all the things i've overcame
