Fallen

A precious Angel,
leans over her cloud
        To whisper sweet nothings
        With a demon of the Earth
He can't visit often
but she longs for his words
        Living for his voice
        The wisdom it holds
She turns her head
For only a second
        He had come too close
        Down, she's pushed
Not quite to hell
close enough
        To feel the heat
        And pain it holds
She weeps,
He's indifferent
         What could such a monster
         do to ease the pain?
She begs,
he falters
        As such a sad
        mournful song.
She offers up,
her broken heart
        The only thing left,
        to give.
A moments thought
a tear or two
        A Demon Will cry,
        If so moved.
She flys back to heaven
on tentative wings.
        A shamefaced Demon
        Steadfast at her side.
