I love you, and I thought you loved me,
And to think that I hurt the one person that mattered most to me
All because your act was so believable
I waited, and I thought you waited, for the day when we would finally see each other again
And I suppose in the end it truly was that day,
That ended it all, all the love I thought we shared
Now, when you leave I wouldn’t know if you even glance in my direction
All I know now is that there are no goodbyes, no more “I love you baby’s”
Not from you
The words I would wait for all day are now simply a memory
And I miss you more than words can express, the man you were, the man I love
