Memory

I see your face in distant smoke,

I hear a whisper of the words you spoke,

Your just a bad memory in my head now,

I don't know why and I don't know how,

But you stole my heart and I took it back,

Because once you touched it, it began to crack,

The pain was so unreal,

And it took so long to heal,

Even though my heart is mended now the scars still show,

But you keep trying to hold on after YOU already let go,

I know you have memories of all the good times we had,

But I only remember all the bad,

I hear a whisper of the words you spoke,

But your face is hidden behind the smoke.
