Father left Mommy when I was too young to understand,Then came another man,From day one I was taught to call him “Dad”,At first I didn’t think twice because he was all I had,Our relationship was just right,But then in what felt like a split second it was out of sight,My baby half-sister came and took my “Dad” away,
And there was nothing I could do or say,
I wish it could go back to how it was before,I am not his baby anymore.

A Friend of mine just had her second child and I can see this poem in her first BIG TIME! All the doting on the new baby while he sits watching quietly. :( Great poem. I'm sure many can relate. |
