The Chalk Queen

Views (34) Other Created on 9-17-07 Flag

All day she worked on her square of concrete,
Scribbling away with her different chalks,
Splashing some colors here, and others there,
Creating a masterpiece for the world to marvel at,
And the neighbor kids to all envy,
She would be the talk of the street,
The word of her creation would spread,
And all would come to see its beauty,
She had everything planed out, not one detail missed,
What she would wear, how she would do her hair,
How she would tell people how long she worked,
Or how she used most of her chalks,
Her mother would be so proud of her,
And the girl wouldn’t let anything go wrong,
She was ready for anything, except the rain.
