Don't water my heart

Views (20) Love Created on 7-18-08 Flag

I'd wonder how I would feel if you left me,

I didn't think that it would be this bad.

I used to believe that you loved me

And that it was impossible to feel so sad.

But then you went and proved me wrong,

Gone with your newest girl,

And everytime I get my life back to the norm

You come to wreck my world.

Don't water my heart.

I cried enough in a dozen years,

Without you coming back and splitting my tears

So I cry more and more.

Just turn around and walk through that door

And don't water my heart.

You said I was your sunshine, was your flower.

You showered me with gifts, roses and gold.

Anything I could want, you'd get me,

As I watched what I thought was your love unfold.

Until you decided to say goodbye,

Wanting a different girl.

And everytime I start to get life back to the norm

You come to wreck my world.

Don't water my heart.

I cried enough in a dozen years,

Without you coming back and splitting my tears

So I cry more and more.

Just turn around and walk through that door

And don't water my heart.

You hurt me bad

But now I'm OK

Without you or your pretty girl

So don't water my heart.
