The Way It Is

I try so hard to please,

Yet all I do is fail unsucessfully.

I am broken inside like a porclain doll who just got dropped,

Landing hard on the floor face turned down.

Please help me I say,

And yet I get no help no one comes to my aid.

I have to save myself,

Or no one else will I've learned that the hard way.

Never depend on anyone for anything,

Otherwise you'll be let down miserably.

That is the sad truth of life,

And yet we live through it.
