What is a dream
But the heart's desire
Wishful thinking
When the consciousness expires
A shield from painful reality
Internal fantasy of pure bliss
What is love
But a dream
A fantasy that is never
What it seems
A roller-coaster of
Pleasure and trepidation
A never ending circle of
Compassion and desperation
What is life
But a nightmare
Full of unknown twists and turns
And unwanted mystification
A frightful thing
That always ends
With a dream.....
