For the First Time |
The Keys
Hello old friend
I can't believe how long it's been
Sit down, tell me
Tell me everything you've seen
Did you ride the clouds?
Did your dream come true?
Did you look in His eyes?
Did He hug you?
I can't imagine how, you must have felt
The gentle embrace of the King
Theres not a heart of stone
It could not melt
It's been two years
Since that horrible day
When I got that phone call
I didn't know what to do, or say
I cryed for a while
But got over it quickly
Cause when I learned the truth
A fit of rage came over me
How does it feel,
To have your life taken away?
Did he think before he got in his car,
That you wouldn't be here today?
You were riding home from work
You didn't hurt anyone
The image in my head
Headlights bright as the sun
You were riding down the street
No cars were there
Then all of a sudden
Your bike goes flying through the air
It plays like horror movies
Over and over again
These kids grab the bottle then the keys
Then call them selves men
Thanks for everything BJ, love ya' man!
