its the same sensation
with a different twist
it stabs me like a knife
but feels like a kiss
this isn't the first time
i've seen your tears fall
you can't stand the pain
so i'll wipe away it all

we can't forget the words
we cant forget the truth
i can't forget my mistakes
or the hurt that i caused you

lay in twisted tenderness
meet me in a dream
turns into a nightmare
awakened with a scream
my mind is in a fog tonight
can't feel my own heart beating
slipping off the edge again
saved only by your breathing

we won't forget the words
we won't forget the truth
you won't forget my mistakes
or the hurt that i caused you

i like to feel you fingers
pressing into my skin
it may be the same story
but i wrote a different end
join me in this picture
painted in shades of blue
i'm held in silent wonder
by this love i have for you

our words are but a vapor
the truth is undefined
my mistakes have made me stronger
and that hurt will heal with time
