I'm sorry I just couldn't do it,
I'm sorry I couldn't be there.
I'm sorry I gave up on you,
And the fact that I love you, I swear.
I'm sorry you have to hear this,
and I know it breaks your heart.
I'm sorry but I just couldn't take,
the fact that you were so far.
We said we could do it
that it wouldn't tear us apart
I said I would love you
with every piece of my heart
I meant what i said,
and i always will.
But the distance between us,
is just too great to fill.
I couldn't possibly stand to love you more
knowing i'll never be near.
It tears my heart into,
my cries i wish you could hear.
I truly am sorry,
sorry that we couldn't last.
Know that I'll love you forever,
to the boy, from my past.
