When you were lovestruck and blinded

They were happier for you than you were for yourself

When the guy turned out a jerk and love was ruined

They convinced you he wasn't worth it

 

Every time things would turn upside down

They seemed to always bring them back again

Even when you thought life would never turn around

They showed you different

 

You smile and tell them

Things are going great

But your best friends know

Nothing's really okay

 

When you were being stupid and thoughtless

Experimenting, being reckless

 

They stuck with you

Never left your side

 

When you finally came back around

Apologized, didn't deserve their time

 

They accepted you with welcome arms

They love you for who you are
