Lost Dream

My heart beats are heavy against my chest
 Full of the burden of my dreams
I cannot grasp the meaning, the value
 Of what all that had happened
My love drops to a flatline
 Was he real or simply imagined
I cannot grasp the feeling, the emotion
 Could the love had really been there?
All these questions that keep me shielded
 I no longer wish to dismiss this hook
I just want to be hooked in, to never forget
