Willing me to let you through
I don't want to see those desperate eyes
Hungering for some closure, some peace of mind
I can't give you what you want

I can't give you any kind of release
I just want to pretend in my own little world
I don't want to know anything at all
I don't want to know why you're crying
I don't want to understand why this happened the way it did
I don't want to understand or else it really did happen
Which means it's not going to disappear
Which means I really do have to deal with it
Which means I really am in denial
