Sorrows and shadows keep me company
They're the only things I have reamaining
I'm all alone; there's no one here for me
My memories of my life are fading
Sorrows and shadows flutter through my head
They feed upon my nightmares and my dreams
They remind me of statements I now dread
My mouth is silent, but my mind just screams
Sorrows and shadows help put me to sleep
They keep me sane, but make me go crazy
They help me smile when I just want to weep
I'm fading and my mind's going hazy
Though they make me wish that my life would end
Sorrows and shadows are my only friends
