Fallen Flag

See the parade in black, going down the streets,

does this not make your tears fall?

Not in orange nor green, we have saved our seats,

for we are same underneath it all.

Though we believe different things,

we cannot see the end.

And we can hear the same voice sing,

calling us all to heaven.

(Chorus)

And a child dead in a mother's arms,

is this what it takes?

Why do we cause this much harm?

We do for Freedom's sake.

(2nd verse)

See the burning sky, black with smoke,

from a shameless stranger's bomb.

And the rivers run red, for the men now broke,

hear the bagpipes play the song.

(Chorus)

And a child dead in a mother's arms,

is this what it takes?

Why do we cause this much harm?

We do for Freedom's sake.

(Break)

Hands in blood,

eyes gone white.

See the flood,

see the fight.

(3rd verse)

And as I see the flag, lying in the road,

I see what it stands for.

Peace between the orange and green, the stitches we've sewed,

but will there ever be rest from war?

(Chorus)

And a child dead in a mother's arms,

is this what it takes?

Why do we cause this much harm?

We do for Freedom's sake.

We do for Freedom's sake.

We do for Freedom's sake.

(verse)

Now see at the sun rising from the hills...

for now it's time to cope...

may we ever have no more kills...

we can only hope...
