Reality, is it just a jest?
Just a joke, just a laugh,
Or is it twisted, is it messed?
It's a thing we all see,
It's a thing we all know.
It's an important thing to me,
Even though it doesn't show.
It's like a painting,
So soft, so nice.
But it's like a cage, it's trapping,
Like chains, like a vice.
Sometimes you wish you just rip a hole in it,
Climb out for a while, just get out of it.
But it's sad because we can't.
Sure we can be mad it, we can rant.
But reality's just a thing that's there.
Like the sun like the sky,
Like the ocean, like the air.
So let's just find a way deal with it,
And just around the bend,
I think you'll find if you stick through it,
You can make it to the end.
