Love is Blind

Love is Blind, so they say

But shouldn't there be a light to lead the way?

Love is pain, with nothing to gain, and when it's over, everyone just wants someone to blame

to place the shame upon their shoulders, weight just like a boulder, emotions so heavy it captures and holds you for a moment

till you're drowning in it, look around for  someone to share,

but nobody cares, no one thinks before they speak

think before they act

throw your heart on the cold, black

pavement

and watch it shatter to pieces.
