Silence comes with moonlight

Emotions deep and pale

Hollow whispers in my mindset

Show me where time has failed

The world tosses and turns at bedtime

For pain never sleeps

Wandering with insomnia

The man in black reaps

Broken bottles on the road cut at his feet

As he walks home to his wife Lady Peace

His career makes him sick and weary

Just another spirit, another chess piece

Sorrowful, amazing, and cold

Is that beautiful, black, dust sky

The stars seem bitter, so far away from the next

Proving even they have a reason to cry

As they shoot across the heavens

They leave a trail of tears till twilight

The moon sings ever so sadly in my ear
