Shining Star

You've been my shining star,                                                  

day in and day out.

You were there for me when my mom wrecked the car,

and you've listened to me scream and shout.

So many things you've done for me,

like loved me when everything was tough,

and you've been things no one else could be.

You stuck it out till the end even when things went rough.

But now god has taken away,

my shining star that taught me to always love myself and everything in life too

I don't want to stay,

I want to see my shining star shine above me and take me back to you.
