You could never see

Today's the day,

when everything will go away.

Nothing good or bad can stay.

Today's the day,

when I say goodbye to you for the last time.

I always knew I'd never shine,

but you wouldn't listen to my rhyme.

That ladder, I would never climb.

Because I never tried.

Each and every night I cried,

and listened each time you lied.

I was running from myself but this tide,

kept catching up with me.

The anger wouldn't let me be.

The shame captured me never letting me be free.

Now it's time for me to pay my fee.

You never knew how much it hurt.

To be in the dirt.

And to feel that feeling lurke,

never letting me go and making me lose hurt.

Today's the day,

whn I can not stay.

I must fly away.

On the bathroom floor in a pool of blood I shall lay.
